Marie’s background is diverse, and that diversity–along with her experience as a coach, entrepreneur, and editor–serves as the foundation for her unique approach towards success coaching and writing consulting.

Originally from the Washington, DC, area, Marie grew up in Germany, but returned to the East Coast for her university education. She subsequently moved to the Bay Area, first living in San Francisco and then later moving to Silicon Valley, where she has worked and conducted her coaching practice since the late 1980’s.

Like a cat with nine lives, Marie has had at least nine careers: as a banker, security analyst, college professor, and program manager. In addition, she’s been an editor, product manager, waitress, and political coach. Plus, like so many people in Silicon Valley, she is a hands-on computer geek, crafting this WordPress site herself, for example, and using a full-range of desktop publishing software for all sorts of purposes.

Marie holds an Advanced Certificate in Transformational Coaching from Sofia University, and her education includes an MA in Literature from Duke University, along with an MBA from the Darden School of the University of Virginia, which is currently listed as 3rd in The Economist’s global rankings.
